As our project in the South of France continues to take shape, it’s the craftsmanship that’s really starting to shine through. This stage is all about detail, those carefully considered, hand-finished touches that bring character and elegance to a home.
One of the most exciting updates is the installation of the beautiful vintage arched doors to the master suite. These reclaimed pieces are full of charm and history, and they set just the right tone as you enter the space – elegant, timeless, and make a real statement.
Our carpenter has been busy bringing a whole host of bespoke elements to life. In the master suite, custom wardrobes have been fitted with real care, along with a full shelving surround that takes you from the master bedroom into the dressing room.
We have also had installed some beautiful doors for the mezzanine linen closets, with each door finished with grasscloth inlays, adding a lovely natural texture that ties in perfectly with the overall palette of the house.
The bespoke bed is now in place too. It’s been expertly made and is just waiting for the upholstered headboard and some beautiful finials to really complete the design.
Underfoot, the wood flooring has been laid, and it’s made such a difference as it adds some warmth to the space and works so well against the original stone walls.
This part of the project is always such a rewarding one. Seeing these elements come together, designed with purpose and crafted by hand, reminds us why we love what we do. It’s no longer just about finishes; it’s about personality, comfort, and making a house feel like home.
