When we began this project, the ground floor of this building was a very sterile, corporate environment. It was an area that was not being used to its full potential and our job was to create a welcoming space for professionals, as well as cycling enthusiasts and the general public by installing a fully functional café and seating to service its customers.

We started by designing a logo that reflected the brief and the style our client was after and this obviously was an integral part of our creative process when designing the space. By introducing punches of colour, subtle ‘nods’ to the cycling community as well as flexible seating options to make the best use of the areas downstairs, we added some natural layers by combining practical design to help absorb sound and give it some much needed warmth to make the space feel inviting.
